In ancient Egypt was there a Pharao called Snafu?
Was he known for his blunders? What were some of them?

I concur with the first answerer! He must definitely have been Bush's ancestor.

In addition to being a total moron, the not-so-great Pharaoh Snafu started a senseless war with Nubia on the pretense that they were manufacturing gunpowder. After completely destroying Nubia and causing the deaths of thousands of Egyptian troops, it was discovered that the Nubians didn't have gunpowder. Once again, Pharaoh Snafu's intelligence got it wrong.

After a series of other epic blunders, Pharaoh Snafu died the way he always wanted. He choked on a pretzel.

The Sphinx was supposed to sit on his mantlepiece, but there was a slight error in the specified units.

Yes. One such blunder was the pyramid he built without reading the blueprints.
