im a graphic designer and use both because i have to but if i had my way PC's and microsoft would all be rounded up and shoot!

get a Mac! the bog standard Imac/Ibook is better than any PC/Laptop at double the price,

if a PC says 2GHz it actuly means about 1.5GHz
if a Mac says 2GHz it processes at about 4GHz!

If you are use to using a PC and havent cut your wrists yet you will pick up the mac so quickly.

its the little things that make all the diffrence.

No virus's
No Crashes
No Spywear
no need for CTL ALT DEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No computer, including the iMac, comes with MS Office. Some have trial versions, but none come with the full version. You can use Libre Office, Open Office or Neo Office, all free, or buy MS Office 2011 for Mac or buy iWork.

You mean iMac or Windows? Office is a productivity suite, not an operating system. If you want to be able to play games, you will be better suited with a Windows based laptop, as Mac gaming titles are few. The Mac OS and applications are excellent, but their hardware leaves a lot to be desired. Apple intentionally builds shoddy hardware, it is easily scratched, and their batteries seem to have an approximate lifespan of just four charges. I have both a G5 laptop (home use) and an IBM Thinkpad (work use) and my IBM is much more robust then the Apple is and at a fraction of the cost (8.5 hour battery too). Software is easier to install/uninstall on a Mac, but harder to use then on a Windows computer. IF you want ease of use and gaming ability, stick with Windows. Also, my DVD burner died on my Apple G5, and the replacement is going to cost me $300! ( you cannot buy off the shelf parts for a Mac, have to be Apple branded parts made specifically for your model).

Anything Mac is better as a Workhorse, but sometimes PCs are better, depends on if you want a spend a lot of time fiddling with things, or buy a MAc, work when you want to, play when you want to.

I use Imac on my legs. Personally I find that Office just doesn't leave me feeling quite as smooth. Oh, sorry ... I think I might be thinking of something totally different ...
