I think every human being is an important part of life, and each has a role to play during their stay on earth. I am affected by all those around me, by past generations, an will hopefully impact future generations in a positive way--we sometimes don't know the fruit of our actions, but the reality is our actions do impact others.
So yes, as I am a part of mankind, even I am important (just as all others are).

I know that I am and have proof that I am but the question you are asking is if I "Think" that I am and my answer to that is - It's not something that I would OFTEN "Think" about. I just live life and try to be the best that I can be. I starred this question because it's not something that I would have thought about or the average person would.
I think it's a very good, important and interesting question ans will now have me "thinking" about my place in this world.

I don't believe that as an individual I am important, but I believe as a race we are important. We are important because we control the fates now not just of the world itself but everything on it. Unfortunately, we abuse that power and so we are important in the death of world because we are the cause of it.

well, if not to the whole world, but to a chunk of people. "Ye are the salt of the world", that's what the Bible says. so i am important, though i don't actually live by the terms mentioned in the New Testament.

Not important to the world, for now.
I believe that each and every one of us have the potential to affect history one way or another.
Just think about the death of one person that prevents the offspring of many people. It's a butterfly effect.

I am personally important only if others feel that I am.The first thing one wanted to do is to be a useful one to others . World will be the same without you even when you are important.

Definitely. "There are no random acts. We are all connected. You can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from a wind." by Mitch Albom
Everything happens for a reason. We may not always know the reason, why our paths cross with another, nor do we know why things happen or not happen the way we plan. Some may know the reason in the later date while other never do.
People who cross our path for a reason, season and for life. Each and everyone of them share with us a lesson. It is this that make each and everyone of us important.

Yes. Each one of us is. I may not be important to the entire world (most people don't even know me!) but I'm important to my loved ones & that's enough. I'm crucial to my little corner of the world...
