The media is acting like a President or world leader has passed on - but the media is probably to blame for her so called "fame".

I mean really, what was she famous for? She wasn't a role model nor did she contribute anything to society...

I feel for her young child and her family, but beyond that?

I am guessing that Anna Nicole's biggest fan right now would be the NASA astronaut stalker lady - at least all the media attention has been taken off of her, even if briefly!

I hope that baby belongs to the photographer, maybe then she will have a chance at a normal life. She sure wouldn't have gotten it living with her mother.

Oh no the stalker story wasn't important cause she wasn't after a playboy bunny. Now Anna Nicole smith forget this women's problem was all over the media hand since she became famous how ironic that she is under 40 , blond and big and beautiful. This is why History repeats its self in many ways and I believe just like the other famous dead stars they are at peace finally they couldn't handle anymore stress from life and God decided that it was her time to go. Her daughter will be just fine and she will just be as famous as her mother and not because she wants to but because who her mother was . Just think what would of happen if Marilyn Monroe would of left her daughter behind, oh wait maybe she did and that was Anna Nicole you'll see

She was a famous model at one time, and she was a beautiful lady when she wasn't under the influence of something. It is just a tragic story because she is so young, lost her son when her daughter was born, and now her 5 month old daughter will never remember her. Many people pretended to be her friend and took advantage of that. Her life was just tragic and that is sad that she will never get the chance to make things right in her life. She was for animal rights but, she didn't advertise it to the world, it was something personal to her, so she did contribute something to this world. She probably even helped some people lose weight because of her turnaround on her weight some looked up to her for that too.

either way she was a human being, she may not have been what you call a role model, but like you said she did have a very little child that is now left with out a mother and a dispute to see who the father is, also she had just lost her son a few months ago, the media is covering this so much because its a bizarre case of events and people like to know,

First I would like to say the media isn't acting like a president died. She was a "celebrity" just like those dingbats on Friends for example,(no offense to whomever loves the show, just an example) ...what did they "contribute" to world existence other than getting how many million per episode to "play make believe?"....Considering the fact she came from a "trailer trash" family (I live in a mobile home, so no need to freak out), but she came from a "POOR" life. Considering the fact she just lost her only son, IN the room she was in after giving birth to her daughter, and at 39yrs old up and dies herself, coincidentally, after the Supreme Court just ruled in her favor that she IS entitled to the 400 million dollars from the old guy, it IS NEWS! I'd rather hear what the media has found out about her death, than the astronaut wearing diaper psycho chick who embarrassed the entire United States/United States Space Program and made us once again look like @ss's to the countries that hate us. Secondly, Ms. Smith was a Human Being! And given the recent events in her life, it is a tragedy......I feel badly for her new baby, grow up without her mother, and now since the courts said $$ goes to Ms. Smith, I'd be looking at who "murdered" her, who she named as beneficiary on her will to get that money!!!! Cause, whoever gets the kid, gets the moolah....And that is a common thing lately, to murder a loved one to get $$/and or freedom......1. the chick who killed her marine husband and went out partying and got a "boob job" right after cashing the widow's check.....2. the father who poisoned his small kids to try to collect $ from "Campbell's soup"......those are recent, the list is endless....I will bet that is what the media is going to report on now in regards to Ms Smith and the baby which equals 400million dollars!!!!! Its "News"......

Apparently, from the looks of all these questions regarding her death...the people are just as obsessed as the media.

She is a 'celebrity' and celebrity and political figure deaths are the top stories for the media and public. Other stories are usually pushed when high profile people die. Especially under suspicous circumstances.

I agree with you.

I was shocked yesterday while watching FOX that they interrupted with "Breaking News" and then the newscaster came on and announced that Anna Nicole died.
Why was a former Playboy bunny and stripper's death worthy of breaking news?

And then all afternoon FOX kept breaking into the programs with segments about her death.

Unbelievable.

There's a war going on, 2 wars actually, yet the death of a drug addicted alcoholic stripper is news.

I don't think I'll be watching FOX anymore.

Cuz it's easier to write about tramps than to get out of their insulated office buildings and go cover REAL news!
