actually its not only the cockroaches but all the animals,birds turtles ,cats e.t.c,and i reall have no idea~

Now that you mention it, it is strange that most dead bugs you see happen to be lying on their backs. One of the world's great mysteries. Did you ever see the Far Side cartoon with the dead entomologist? He was -- you guessed it -- lying on his back with all fours sticking up in the dead bug position.
