What's a bathroom floor? Ceramic tile? Vinyl?

Sharpie is a permanent marker.

Lacquer thinner may work. It may melt some plastics and vinyls, though. Highly flammable. Use ventilation.

Comet or Ajax cleanser. Some types will scratch the no-wax finish off of vinyl.

Thunderbolt or Awesome spray cleaner. I buy the Awesome at a dollar store. It works good on a lot of stains. The grocery store quit selling the Thunderbolt but it was the best. It would even remove permanent laundry marker from cotton shirts.

Lighter fluid may work.

Bleach may work.

Your homeowners policy may pay. But you will have to pay the deductible. If it is a small bathroom you may not want to blemish your claim record. Most people save claims for large expenses. Some companies are canceling policies for claim frequency now. So a couple of small claims may get you canceled when one big claim would not.

Goo Gone works on Sharpies (ask me how I know - two young kids!)

Be careful with it and follow the package instructions carefully. A little bit goes a long way.

Use plain old rubbing alcohol. It removes any ink, even permanent. You may have to complete the process more than once but it will work. And it is cost efficient.

Try nail polish remover with acetone, or straight acetone (you can get it at beauty supply stores like Sally's).

They also make a product called Oops, which is for things like that. You can find that in the hardware section at Walmart. It worked great getting tar off my floors, so I bet it would work with a Sharpie.
