its the one where there are some kids mucking around on a pavement next to a road, and one of them is filmin from a mobile phone! then one lad steps out into the road and gets run over by a blue car!
is this real? does he actually get ran over, or is it edited to make it look that way?

It was real, the parents felt it would teach other kids to act more responsibly. Its like the parents who released the photos of their dead child who had taken drugs for the first time.

It scared me because the grainy images and the car waltzing over that secondary student. It looks real but it might be edited. When I walk home from college I have to get a friend to help me cross the road after I saw it lol.

This is real the reason that it was broadcast was because the parents wanted to show other people the dangers of the roads especially if your messing around

Im sure that it has just been edited, but I do remember reading somewhere that it is real and that, as a previous user has suggested, the parents of the child wanted it used to demonstrate the dangers to others.

I heard it was real, the kids were just messing around having a laugh filming themselves. He probably didn't hear the car as they were laughing. It really gets to me every time.

it really depends on whether it's a real advertisment or not. If you saw it on TV during an ad break it's a real ad and no, the kid getting run over definitely isn't real. They can't show people snuffing it on TV.
If you saw it on the internet, well, you can't really tell. probably not, though.

It's not real. It's designed to show the importance of road safety.
