At the end of Blossom, she chose to attend UCLA, despite the fact that she was accepted at both Harvard and Yale. She stated that she wanted to stay close to her parents and did not want to move all the way to the East Coast. She earned a bachelor's degree in 2000 in neuroscience and Hebrew and Jewish studies, and went on to the Ph.D. program in neuroscience. She took a break from these studies in 2005 to return to acting.[2] As of 2006, she is completing work on her thesis, an investigation of Prader-Willi syndrome.[3]
I saw the show too. Danica Mckellar was on the same show.. she is just as smart. She was Winnie Cooper.
She is married to Michael Stone. She gave birth to their first child, a son, at age twenty-nine on October 10, 2005. Bialik is now involved in Conservative Judaism.[1]

She's a brain. She quit Hollywood & went to school to be something major, like some sort of Scientist or something. I seen it on tv a year or 2 ago.

Mayim Bialik: She's a neuroscientist and still acts. She appeared in "Fat Actress" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm".
I think she's working on her thesis.
