I once worked in a US Summer camp, years ago, went for 11 weeks and travelled around a bit after that, One of the best things was no TV. I also spent 12 weeks straight in hospital, in an orthopeadic ward, they say you "hit the wall" emotionally at the 3 month mark, some guys who were wounded or overwise injured had been in spinal wards for 12 months and no tv. For me the TV weakens you when you really need to draw from within, I think it also makes people relive what thev'e been through.

Well, let me see.
About a year and a half now?
I had a Love who drug me down to watch the television for about 4 months. I gave in about 6 times in 4 months and when she moved out, so did her television.
I heaved a sigh of relief when I was no longer drug down to watch television.

Well in my first year at university i went without tv for the whole year. But since then ive got addicted again, which is inevitable if you watch it once, its like a drug. Nowadays the longest i can go is 5 minutes whilst i make a sandwich! Jokez

I've lived without TV for 3 years. I don't miss it. TV is just mind control because "the box" controls what you learn every day.
The computer is my main form of entertainment. At least I have more control over what I can see and read about.. for now.

A long long time. I prefer having the radio on and using the internet. There is too much rubbish on TV, like all the soaps, reality TV, commercials etc

Hey bud, I hardly watch anything at all nowadays and I am doing great already. Maybe I'll slip a dvd in the player once or twice a week, but that's all. No tv fix needed here!

We all could survive without it. Television is not food and it is not water, but I really enjoy watching the Discovery channel...
