think the main thing is not to leave food around for them to feed on. use plastic container´s with tight fitting lid´s . fill up any crack´s where you think they might be hiding , you could do a small test at night before going to bed , sprinkle a small about of flour where you think they might be coming from . If you see that the flour has been disturb then you will know where they are hiding, make sure you clean the kitchen all units , Main thing is to seal of any cracks or holes. then use a commercial insecticide formulated for crawling insects such as diazinon, fenitrothion or bendiocarb. follow the maker´s instructions carefully . if this dose´t work then you´ll be better getting the professional people to come and fumigate your house

Go to a home depot or similar store and get a jug of roach spray. comes with built in sprayer(there are a few different brands). It works better than a fogger and is easier. Have good ventilation and don't spray your dishes and stuff! This is also true for foggers. We have big wood roaches here in old Florida and I have used the spray on rugs and everything else. Also great for flea problems.

If you don't want to use nasty chemicals. just use this instead. It's EXTREMELY effective.
Mix a little bit of powdered sugar into some boric acid.
The cockroaches will walk on it and will lick the boric acid
off themselves. (cockroaches are very clean bugs it turns out).
The boric acid destroys their ability to have babies.
In 3 weeks there won't be a cockroach around. not one.
I know a guy that did this in his apartment and he wiped out the entire population of roaches in the whole complex.

Spray the area with "Raid Max" it comes in a silver can with a blue lid....It is VERY smelly but it really kills them dead and continues to kill for several days. You may want to leave the area for a couple of hours as the smell is real bad. Like do not spray your bedroom right before you go to sleep.......

You need to get the pest control people to remove these as they will find their source. They could be breeding somewhere in your house. Hope this helps you!

Here in Spain they are huge, the best way is professional fumigation then it's guaranteed you won't get them for a year. If you do happen to see any you can call them out at no extra charge. Bloody things I hate them!

Boric Acid. But keep it away from domestics(kids and animals).
Put it in damp, dark, hidden places on something.
They eat it and take it back to the nest and die, then the others die.
And there will be hundreds.

Phone your council, I had them when I moved in to my house, they sprayed the place and I've not had them again. Very cheap, very effective.

Call the exterminator, they have the stronger chemicals which will keep working alot longer than what you can buy yourself.Relatively inexpensive.
