to this day i can't fathom why people talk more loudly on the mobile. the microphone is right next to your mouth. Must be a combination of not hearing your own voice so good due to transport noise as well as a bit of ego that "Im on the phone and im teribly important" LOL. those people should be be banned IMOA

Mobile phones should be banned from public transport only if ALL noise, conversation, rustling of crisp packets and surreptitious farting is also banned. The only difference between a normal conversation and a phone conversation is that you can only hear one half. Is that what annoys you?

Besides, we should probably concentrate on stuff like violent drunks and vandalism before tackling your pet peeves.

No, public transportation would get less buisness because
American's these days rely on cellular devices, and what if someting came up? They sure as heck don't have a phone. Except on planes. No cell phone usage there. But they do have phones to use, it just cost like 100 dollars a minute. I dont know. I need some coffee........

Are you one of those nanny state supporters, why dont you take away all our rights!!
plus if some one wants to have an xplict telephone conversation with their mistress on a packed train that just makes my jouney home all the more interesting.lol

Ill tell you what does wind me up though, personal stereos or ipods mp3 etc the whole point is they are supposed to be personal but you can still hear their music blaring out though the ear phones and it is never anything you want to hear.

not really as it is a communication tool and some people genuinly do need to use them.
i think what needs to happen is that people are taught how to use mobile phones in public....that is by not shouting out loud or discussing irrelevant private information whilst around others that's all
