A guy won a competition on the radio to go to the Grammys but his wife cant go as she cant get time off work..

I have no clue who his wife works for but i think its awful that she cant go on this amazing trip and experience this once in a lifetime opportunity!!!
Surely any boss with a heart would make an exception to the rules?
This guy has to go with his brother now!!!

I heard the guy talking on the radio to the DJ and he said his wife was gutted she couldnt go. She probably has a good job which she doesnt want to lose. In my opinion i think its sad she cant experience this WITH her husband.

I can understand why the wife would be this upset, if indeed she is, but why are you?

How do you know her boss won't let her have time off work? Did he or she tell you this? What if the boss said she could and she's saying he said otherwise? What if she didn't wanna go in the first place and used the boss to blame? What if her job is such that it is MUCH more important than going to the grammy's?
It's got nothing to do with the boss's heart....what if he wanted to let her have time off, but she was the only worker on that day? What if he's given her loads of time off before and she's run out exceptions? What is she's having an affair with the boss and this is just her excuse to get her husband away for a while to cosy up to the boss???

See...there could be other explanations, don't just jump in calling the boss heartless when you don't know the full story!

And how do you know it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for them? Besides if she and hubby REALLY thought that and they both desperately wanted to go, she could quit! If this is such a once in a lifetime opportunity, she could always get another job when she comes back.
