Yes it can happen. An avatar can activate the imagination. If what is written next to the avatar appeals to the eaders it can be double fold. This reminds me of a radio show with the great late Abdelwahab. He said that Abbas el Aqqad fell in love with a qolla( a ceramic jar that keeps water cool), when he came home from work everyday the qolla was at the window covered with a scarf- to keep flies away- He thought that it was a girl waiting for him at the window, he fell in love with her. He knew his mistake when a thirsty man took the scarf off and drank from it.

Depends on avatar, but if you are talking about Y!Avatars, only if you have vivid imagination and you could picture how would person look if matches with avatar. Or if you have feeling for animated characters (which I had).

Well...i dont really believe in love at first sight, so im sorry i would have to say no, but hey i could be wrong, i think every person would have to decide..or better said, know for themselves if they´re in love..the hows and whys after that dont really matter, no matter how unusual the conditions may be. :)
