What do you mean by 'big enough'? Anything under 50 gallons isn't big enough for angelfish AND your current fish. You can, if you have over 50gallons. Angelfish are really happier in groups of 3 (or more), so you could get 3 angelfish, plus your current fish, for a 50gallon tank. You should get some more diamond and neon tetras too, though, as both are school fish and should be kept in groups of 6 of more. They look at lot more impressive that way, whe nthey school. Anyway, angelfish are wonderful fish. I have like 7 of them in a 90gallon, and they are definitely the stars of the tank. Feed them bloodworms and mysis shrimp for good growth :) Whenever you add angelfish to a tank with smaller fish, such as tetras and rasboras, you run the risk of the angel eating the tetras. However, if you start off with big tetras and a small angelfish (quarter-sized or less), your angel should grow up knowing that tetras aren't food. However, angels (like any fish) may and will eat any other fish that can fit in their mouths - so if you hold your tetras close to your heart, just know the risk that it *could* happen. :)

Everything depends on the size of your tank and the size of the fish you are going to put in and the quantity. If you only have one angel fish you cannot put any neons with it, but if you have a pai or even 3 angels and a school of neons with a variety of other fish they MAY be okay, everything depends on how well your angel adapts.

If you still want to try this I would make sure you have a 55 gallon tank or larger and also make sure the Angel fish is the LAST fish you put in the tank. The reason for this is because if he is in the tank first he thinks it is his so anyone that gets in his way will be tormented, but if he goes in last while there are other fish, he has tolearn to adapt. Make sure you are not spending too much money on the smaller fish because like I said, all angels are different. It depends on where you get them and size.

Hope it helps a little.

Angels are predators, neons are prey. Angels are a member of the cichlid family, and, like most fish, will eat any fish they can get in their mouth. They may do okay with some of the larger species of tetra, but i would keep them in a school. Prey fish school to keep the predators from targeting them as effectively

You can,if the angels are very small. Eventually you will have to separate them,or the neons will be eaten by the angelfish. Angelfish need taller tanks than neons.

neon tetras are an angel fish's natural prey in the wild
so no, not advised, once the angel is large enough, your neons will go missing...

larger tetras may work better.

I wouldn't. Angels need a different quality of water then tetras usually and Angles are typically a prey fish, with neons being timid and withdrawn. Whatever you do, rememeber, 1 inch of fish per gallon of water.
