I have no idea what "who is us i.t. support" is, but when saying goodbye to someone I always tell them I'm glad I had the chance to know them.

What about: "Can I have your stapler, pritt stick and post it notes now?"
A colleague of mine always says the same thing in leaving cards, regardless of who's departing - she keeps is short and sweet with "sod off". Seems to do the trick.

I would suggest sticking to words and not using asterisks. Given that, how about: 'Wishing you the best of luck in the future, cheers! '

just write
Pleased your going, don't come back
That way they will think your witty yet controversial, and if you don't like them you can add as they go "oh by the way i meant it"

Are you friends with them? If so, something like 'will miss you lots, good luck in your new job and please keep in touch'. If you don't know them that well just 'congratulations on your new job - enjoy' or something similar. Don't be too gushy...
