What a shame! What a disgrace! Sixty years of disposession for the Palestinian people and it has come to this. Both Fatah and Hamas have nobody to blame but themselves. Fatah and Abbas's behavior towards Hamas is totally unacceptable and shows complete disrespect for democracy and the elected Hamas leadership.
Fatah and Hamas both seemed to forget they were supposed to be working toward a common goal and let themselves get pushed into fighting each other thanks to American and Israeli weaponization of corrupt and visionless Fatah. I think Palestinians now fully realizes that the solution to the conflict does not lie in Washington or Oslo but in Palestine and everyone who thinks differently is disillusioned. The Arabs have turned their backs on them. The Europeans are actually complicit in each and every disaster that befalls them, starting with the Balfour Declaration onwards to the Oslo extortionist scam. Neither Hamas nor Fatah are strong enough to lead.
Instead of fighting the oppressor, they are fighting amongst themselves. The blind leadership of both the factions doesn't have the political maturity to understand that this situation only strengthens Israel's hold on the occupied territories. I fail to understand how can these leaders speak of liberation for Palestine when they themselves are guilty of killing each other along with score of innocent women and children caught in the crossfire.
And why is the West welcoming the governments of agreements rather than the governments democratically elected anyways?

Probably not because it won't last. Hamas is too radical and alienates the world community (and screws over the Palestinians) and Fatah is too weak to reel in Hamas and other militants. In short, the Palestinian people are just as screwed as they have always been.

The Middle East has had agreements predating the Carter administration in the 1970's and the Palestinians always end up losing out. If we gave Palestine the money we give Israel, it might even things up.

I think that we made a HUGE mistake supplying Fatah with weapons that are NOW IN THE HANDS OF HAMAS terrorists. I think it is terrible for the U.S. and Israel.

Isn't it ironic how we continuosly supply weapons to people who will in turn use them on us and our allies. It's like handing a madman a gun with a smile on your face when he is already trying to kill you with stones. Have we lost our minds?

I just hope Israel wipes them out before they have too much strength and momentum!

Only if both parties get their head out of their rear and realise Israel isn't going to go away and that is a good thing because when they aren't fighting, Israel is the major source of jobs for Palestinians. AND the world community isn't going to give them anything as long aas they keep fighting with Israel.

Now you tell me if they are going to cure their cranial rectitus problem and I'll give you a better answer.
