Algebra is far more powerful than geometry, geometry is a pictorial representation of alebraic equations and has limits. e.g you cannnot draw a function of 3 variables but with algebra you limit is the boundaries of static mathematics before going into dynamic maths CALCULUS

Algebra is more powerful.
But they are not mutually exclusive, you may have to use a lot of algebra to solve difficult geometry problems.
