Hi there. Unfortunately I would have to say that it is pretty normal. If you have not had any vomiting earlier in your pregnancy and it just started later on I would say it is a tad unusual but not really note worthy. Some women vomit the entire 9 months and then again it varies for the same women with different pregnancies.
As to why it burns so much, that is because stomach acid is incredibly caustic. They say it can burn a hole in concrete tho I have never tested the theory! You see your stomach has a special lining that is made to withstand that acid, your esophagus lacks this lining and so does your throat and mouth. That acid can even erode the enamel on your teeth, it is some strong stuff.
The best thing (and the most natural) that I have ever found to neutralize this acid is papaya enzyme. It comes in chewable tablets that taste great and can be purchased at most drug stores. They are really good and will take care of a sour stomach fast.
Take care of yourself dear and I hope that you don't have any more bouts of vomiting. BTW, pregnant women are not immune to plain old stomach upsets....it could have just been a touch of gastroenteritis. If you ever have vomiting and or diarrhea that continues for any length of time and you think you may be becoming dehydrated don't ever hesitate to contact your doctor. You may need to go to the hospital where they can start an IV to rehydrate you. This of course would be if the vomiting (or diarrhea) continued for several days and you are not able to keep anything down at all.
Love and Blessings

Hello there,
Yes unfortunately for you it can happen,
when I was pregnant with our twins (2ND preg) I was terribly sick that towards the end it got so bad that I was hospitalised, I also had a thing called colistates is when your liver doesn't function properly and you bile duct flat stays open and the bile burns, your throat & your stomach I basicly had to sleep sitting up.
If your 'morning' sickness becomes extream your Dr can prescribe medication to aliveate the problem, just don't leave it until you are dehydrated, because just like in infants dehydration can happen very quickly.
On a good note once your baby is born the burnnig goes away straight away as there is no more pressure on your organs.
Best of luck,
Petara :-)

I agree with the first two. My son never liked anything I ate it seemed for the whole nine months. I was throwing up while in labor.

yep!
Try drinking some aloe juice to sooth your tummy and stop the acidity.
You can buy it from most pharmacies and health food stores.
