Blondie is my favorite band, so I pick them. The Ramones were really great too, they were the first punk rock band. Both were memorable bands that made great music. Blondie did a little more experimenting and it payed off. I love Blondie!

I would prefer Blondie. I grew up in the 80's and I loved Betty Davis Eyes And Call Me. I still hear Blondie playing some but have not heard them playing Ramones as much.

neither i'd pick genya ravan over blondie and dirty looks over the ramones any day of the decade.
in on the punk/new wave music scene from early on, i received a thorough education in the genre. though blondie and the ramones are two of the most widely recognized bands of the era, many other bands would better represent the music: genya ravan, patti smith, dirty looks, wendy o'williams & the plasmatics, devo, elvis costello & the attractions, talking heads, the romantics, berlin, psychedelic furs, the fixx, modern english...want to give your daughter a good taste of your wildhood? find a copy of "sedated in the 80s'" a various artist cd with cuts from most of the above artists. have fun and hey ho lets go!!
