Jenson is a tough person to pin down... on one hand, I think he definitely had a bit of bad luck in recent years where he probably should have won a Grand Prix or two. On the other hand, I think it was pretty much luck which eventually led to his one win. Not to say it wasn't deserved. He is a talented driver and someone that should be able to occassionally challenge for a win. However, I don't see him as a front line talent.
I forget which race it was recently where he had the pole and started off out front and was able to keep pace ahead of both Kimi and Fernando. But then, on two consecutive restarts from yellow he was overtaken right away by Kimi and Fernando. This seems to sum up Button to me... good, but just not good enough against the better drivers. Though, I will add that once he got that first win out of the way, he defintiely showed a degree of confidence that had been missing for awhile, so maybe there is hope for more.
If the 2007 Honda has pace, he will definitely score some podiums, and will challenge a few times for a top spot. If something happens that clears the way ahead of him at the right time, he will win. If he picks up an early win, maybe he'll manage to get into a groove and take his driving up a notch where he can really compete! Otherwise, it may prove to be quite awhile until he notches his second win.

Jenson's single win came last year in Hungary. After being in F1 for as long as he has his first win should have come years ago. And the only reason he won was because so many cars retired due to the terrible weather conditions. He is not a class A driver, in fact i wouldn't be surprised if BMW and Nick Heidfeld beat him in the championship points this season. The BMW looks very quick. Look out the Germans are coming!

I believe if 1/2 the drivers have mechanical failures and another 1/3 of them get into an accident, Jenson will be able to win the race. Just about like it happened when he won his 1st race.

Sorry. But i don't think pretty boy will win many races this year. He won his single race last year out of sheer luck. (and then come follow all these news about him being the next champion???!) Lets face it, if Jenson is a great driver, he should have won a lot of races already. Ferrari saw talent in Massa and they were right. At lot of younger drivers have out-raced him already. Plus how he dealt with Williams in the past shows how "professional" he really is. He is good in qualifying but does not translate it to wins in actual races.

I think Jenson and Ruebens will both do well this year. Honda made some strides last year and are one of the only team coming back relatively intact personnel wise. Tire will be less of a factor and, while I don't generally put much faith in testing, they look good. I think the other top teams will suffer from change pains and if they can't come to grips with it the Honda boys could make a great year of it.

Last season was a great season for Jenson.......
This season will be even better its about time we had another champion from England can Jenson be that man, I think so, maybe not this year but certainly soon.....I think he will win 3 races this year, after all theres no Schumacher, Alonso's in a new car and I dont think Kimi has it in him, watch out for Massa this year he'll win a few.

The new Honda does look up to speed, and because the 2007 season is going to be so unpredictable, who knows? I really think that Button may win again this season, but unfortunately he still doesn't stand a chance for the title. Attrition races are his big chance, as long as he stays out of trouble in that kind of race.

Jenson is a nice lad, but he doesn't have the exceptional talent required to win races when he doesn't have the fastest car. His one victory in Hungary last year was largely down to luck. He's been consistent over the years and deserved his luck. But unfortunately he's no Shcumacer or Alonso and if he is not in a fast car I don't think he stands a chance of winning a race (unless it absolutly buckets down).

Depends to his Honda powered F1 cars. Jensen was a consistant driver, he got a great skills and minds, but some say he lack of luck(coz the team he joined), I almost forgot him at last season due to the poor result.
Anyway, Im sure he will fight for the 1st, and he will, when Honda engine alive.

Not likely he will even win one. Honda cannot seem to get a good package together and Jensen does not seem to have the ability to over come a bad car and strangle it to a win. But it's not all his fault. Ruebens used to look like he was the only one who could challenge Michael, but now he's a midfielder in the Honda. Obviously the car can help or hurt you. Jensen needs to get out of Honda for us to know what he is really made of.
