I like fantasy and Terry Pratchett's Discworld series of 30+ novels rank high in that genre in my opinion. Each one is unique and very entertaining. See "Monstrous Regiment" for a good intro to this group.

It is terribly difficult to pick just one genre because I love fantasy, romance and YA literature. I love any kind of story that takes me out of the here and now and lets me forget about the realities of life in general.

Since my favorite book is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer I guess I'll go with the YA/fantasy combo. Some other titles in this genre that I've loved are Tithe by Holly Black, Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz, Glass Houses by Rachel Caine, The Mediator series by Meg Cabot, Peeps by Scott Westerfeld and The Guardians of Time trilogy by Marianne Curley. Generally I love reading YA lit because I find the concepts more imaginative than in most adult contemporary fiction and the writing isn't bulked up so much that I become bored reading the story.

My favorite novel genre would be fantasy and science fiction. I enjoy these genres, because they have things in their stories, which is not real on Earth, so I can read about them in the fantasy-type books. I enjoy reading about heroic people, who face danger, creatures, and other sorts of adventurous feats. I enjoy reading about places that are not real, and can never be, so that I may have a place to "go to" when I read. I can escape from Earth, and read myself into a whole new land, and meet new people. One of my favorite titles would be the Harry Potter ones.

I like thrillers. I just finished reading a real good psychological thriller called "Angelhair" by Joseph Noga. It was an easy read and kept me turning the pages. If you want a look at a preview of the book go to www.joenoga.com and take a free peek. Give the book a read and pass the word of it along, that's what I'm trying to do. Thankx!

My favorite are Thrillers whether they are regular or Christian Thrillers.

Christian Thrillers: My favorite author is Ted Dekker. If you try him out start with "House". Some others are "Obsessed", "Three", and "Blink"

Regular Thrillers include James Patterson, John Grisham (more legal thrillers), Mary Higgins Clark, Dean Koontz, Stephen King.

Happy Reading!!

Fantasy. Elves and dwarves, wizards, dragons, fairies, unicorns. Sword-fighting and magic. Adventure, quests, good vs. evil. Ordinary guy-off-the-street vs. not-quite-all-powerful bad guy. And wins.

The Hobbit
The Lord of the Rings
The Sword of Shannara
Lord Valentine's Castle
The Magic of Recluce
The Belgariad series
Wizard's First Rule

I like historical novels. To me, they are the most exciting, complex, and often the most romantic.
Two of my favorites are: "Shogun" by James Klavell,
and "Hawaii " by James Michener.
Any books by these authors are good choices.
