There is a lot of arrogance, sure. It comes from being from the country that is in every way the most powerful and influential nation in the world. When Britain held that position a hundred and fifty years ago, the British were also very arrogant, though in a different, less in-your-face way. But arrogant, nevertheless! And that arrogance has not died out entirely yet, even if most British people don't even know what they ever had to be arrogant about!

No, I am not an American, I have never been to the USA, but I have met many good Americans and many incredibly arrogant ones. Just like my own people and like your own people...

Not all are, some of the American women I have met have been very friendly.
When I was in New York they where not arrogant at all, but when I was working in Minnesota, I did meet some very arrogant men who thought they where they greatest and looked down on everyone else.

Not all of them, but some are very arrogant. However for real arrogance in this day and age you really need to listen to Australians. Few current achievements (apart from sport) massive egos.

I thought they were okay till i heard that guy on the news last night saying our troops should get behind them and stop sucking their thumbs like in ww2. It was someone from the same neighbourhood as that bloke who just killed one of ours by accident.
