on valentines day, my bf was too busy at work. but at about 9pm, he called me to check if i was home, then he said, "sweetie pls check the door, i think someone is there." and so i was surprised how he would have known, but i went anyway, to find out a bunch of roses waiting at my doorstep. apparently, he took time to buy me flowers and had the guard of the building i lived in deliver it to my doorstep when i get inside my flat. cute and romantic.

My birthday happens to be on Valentine's Day. Last year I worked. ( I work graveyard at a local truck stop/convenience store.) Imagine my surprise when I arrived at work to see a Huge bouquet of red roses on the cafe table, with a card addressed to me from my significant other! ( We'd been together 4 years at that point). I think this is by far the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me!!!

For heaven's sake, you've already got the meanings. Just make sentences and don't be so lazy. If you don't understand these explanations, perhaps you should be in a lower grade of English class. We all have to start at the bottom and work our way up. It's not about being smart.

The most romantic action came early in my marriage when we were extremely broke. We had to go to town for something or other, and my husband spent his last $1 on a red rose on Valentine's Day. I was waiting in the car for him to come out of of the store, and to this day, that one red rose has meant more to me than dozens could have.

This may sound wacky, but anytime my husband makes me a burger is romantic. We got married at a 4th of July Barbecue and we fed each other burgers instead of cake. A burger makes me go "Awww Honey!" (goofy, but true)

My husband proposed to me at work over the phone, because we could get cheaper car insurance if I was "spouse". I love him, we are practical people been together 19 years, married 14, minimum debts, practical people!
He made me cry when he bought me a new coat for Christmas, totally unexpected, he thought my old one was "old" at ten years! He borrowed my "old" coat last week to go to twickenham to watch England & Italy!
He bought me a huge card, champagne, flowers, doritos & chocolates for valentines day - I made him prawn cocktail, his favourite for tea!
