she has to be able to PROVE she is not being "singled Out" for good cause. She will need other employees to back her story up. She has to be on good standing, meaning, good attendance, only problems with this boss ect. This is kinda hard to prove without several to back you up.
If she is a single mom, she better start looking for another job. She needs to remember that most companies hold 1-2 weeks back when you start a new job.
She will want to maybe work both jobs for 3 months if she has health insurance she is going to lose. if she doesn't want a gap in coverage, Some companies allow you too keep them for so many weeks after you end employment.
She should go over his head to HIS boss before quitting.
I have worked many jobs I did not like to care for my kids....... If shes not happy find a new job.

i think if you leave a job you cannot claim any benefits for about 6 to 8 weeks and then you have to tell them why and they decide if you left voluntarily or forced to but first she should try and speak to someone about her boss, or someone from human resources as they are they to help with these things. If not she should go to her local citizens advice and speak to them, as if she just leaves then she may not have any evidence to back herself up and she will loose out. This kind of thing really annoys the crap out of me, someone else makes your life a misery at work and it is always the person getting the crap that feels forced to leave. Anyway I hope this helps you.

She must not walk out of her job she may not get benefit for several weeks.
She could talk to her boss & tell him not to treat her wrongly, but best of all, whilst she is working she should look for another job then leave.

let her discuss this with her boss seriously and frankly preferably in the presence of an impartial peer and senior. Failure to reach consessors can lead to giving it quits. Is she marketable in the labour market? If not let her be patient.

No, you do not get benefits if you walk out of employment.
Have you suggested finding another job first then telling her boss where to stick it?.
Alternatively if she is entitled to sick pay, go on sick until she finds another job.
Good luck!!

yeah she can get benifits but ehy can suspend any payments for up to 6 months,
unless she has a real good reason for leaving,
but you should talk to your national advice bureau, so you can talk and they can give you more infomation

she should claim constructive dismissal because of her treatment that could give her compensation rights against her employer when leaving her job.
