I'm a huge Habs fan, and the biggest problem is we have never had a true top scorer on are team or a true power forward to stand in front of the net. and that's what really hurts use the most. Samsonov what a joke hes getting just over $3 million we got screwed on that deal, and we have been giving up way to many shots a game that it will only make are goalies that much tired which is showing now. but that would get back to are offence if we can find that true scorer then it would take less pressure on the D-men and Huet will not have to face 35 to 40 shots a game every night. there's still 26 games remaining in the season and they better start doing something its understandable a team going on a funk throughout a week or two but the Habs have been in a funk for the past month and all teams are catching up or passing the Habs in the Standings. but i have faith in my Habs and Bob Gainey will do something come trade deadline.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The last superstar in Montreal was Guy Lafleur. No other player has scored 100+ points in a season since.
Until we get a true scorer/power forward centre that can get things done like a Vinnie Lecavalier to anchor the 1st line we will never be able to bring the cup back to Montreal.
Koivu though a good player is not a 1st line centre, he can't take the pressure of having to feed his wingers and he's too small. I would put him on the 2nd line.
We need to get a French Connection line back in Montreal, get rid of Souray along with Samsonov and Aebischer for Lecavalier and a 4th round draft pick. We're deep enough in net down in Hamilton and Carey Price is up and coming very fast.
1st line: Latendresse - Lecavalier - Lapierre
2nd line: Higgins - Koivu - Kovalev
3rd line: Johnson - Bonk - Streit
4th line: Begin - Perezhogin - Downey

The second half is when it really counts and things are really turned up. They have run into hot teams that need the points and want it that much more. It's not like they were winning by 5 goals or something. Not like they are losing by 5 either. It is really the nature of the game and nature of the East this year. Look how hot my Penguins are right now. They aren't winning by large amounts, they are just getting the job done in alot of the games.

I still think Carbo should put Samsanov - Koivu - Kovalev. They are the 3 hightest paid and they should be put together to score. Each player has a style but not once this season did i see this trio together. Higgins/Ryder - either its sophmore slumps or something but they have to wake up. Can't blame the goalies - they doing a good job, Defense have to stop giving up the puck in their end.

Man, I wish I knew. We can't blame this on food poisoning anymore! I hope things get better soon. The standings are so tight that a few more losses and the Habs may wind up watching the playoffs on TV! (GO HABS!)

To me, as a 20+ year dedicated fan, they certainly are. i could be stunned to pay attention of a diehard CH fan who has been to a interest without feeling the spirits + ghosts of legends (to call yet some) .. Rocket, Morenz, Plante, Vezina, Geoffrion, Harvey ...
