I have an english version of Windows XP but wish to use my keyboard in Spanish mode. No matter what I do, I can't get it to default to english - it keeps switching back! Can anyone advise please!!

You need to set Spanish as the "default" keyboard. Otherwise, when you reboot, it will change back.

Control Panel, Regional, Languages, Details. There's a pull-down as to which one is default (it will be bold).

You need to set 'Spanish' as the *default* layout, else
Windows will think the change was just temporary.

The random link given below explains what to do.
