use the reset buttom with the head of a pin.
that will then go back to the manufacturs settings

My Dad has a TomTom and it did this too. He either looked on their website and rang them - they told him to stick the end of a paper clip into the tiny hole at the back of the TomTom.

Look for the reset button. There in different places on different models. On the 710 and 910 it's next to the the docking point and you'll need a paper-clip to reach it.
Check your manual (their on TomTom.com) and search for the reset button.

I'm with the reset button too, mine does that sometimes.
Just use the end of the stylus though. Works on the Axim x51.

thers a tiny hole at the bottom of your tom tom you need to insret maybe pen nib on it resets
