Many radio stations now are available through the internet. Its easiest if you know the radio station you are wanting to hear- for example do a search for alternative music in the NYC area and then go to that radio stations website directly.

Yeap.
Internet radio is broadcast from most countries. And if there's one internet station you love, the best thing is you can get it worldway. Here are some samples of Irish stations:
LiveIreland.com
Featuring Irish music and events.
www.liveireland.com
Live 95 - Limerick
Broadcasts on FM, and to Europe on the Astra Satellite.
www.95fm.ie
RedFM 104 to 106
Cork-based online music station featuring the Top 40, '80s and '90s tunes, dance, hip-hop, and R&B.
www.redfm.ie
Irish Radio Online
Features live music and events from radio stations nationwide.
www.1radio.irl.com

And if you list to a local station on the internet here, you'll also be able to hear it in Ireland (and France, and Russia, and Japan, etc)
