OH MY GOD - THIS HURTS SO MUCH. You poor thing. I have horrible big toes on both feet (have had ingrowing toenails removed and both toes are VERY sensitive). I usually end up crying if I stub my toes or hop around flapping my arms trying not to swear. Have some chocolate - it will help!

Yes. But the most painful thing I've done was stand on a rake, cartoon style, and have the handle whack me fair in the nose. And I was at work (a kindy), surrounded by kids under 5. As soon as it happened, I stepped inside the shed, pulled the roller door down behind me and said the "f" word for about two minutes straight. Mind you, I guess it could have been worse...I could have been left holding a stick of dynamite just as it was about to go off, or had an anvil fall on my head..

It happens to me frequently - yesterday was the last time. We've just moved into a new house and I haven't quite got the hang of the wideness of the doors yet. Also, I'm pregnant, which makes it even more difficult, coz my "bump" gets in the way when I'm walking and I can't see my feet - lol!
I have done it publicly, and yes, I made a scene - I was in a restaurant and I whacked my little toe on a chair while wearing sandals - I made a heck of a fuss - I'm 22.. He he..
I'm very clumsy anyway!
;-)

when hurting yourself in public i find the best thing to do is pretend you have tourettes. you can then blatantly swear, jump around, hit people etc and nobody will know you just did something silly!
also why is it that we hit something when it hurts us? strange that eh
for example - stubbed toe on coffee table - kick it with other foot
