I managed to watch half an hour over the weekend - it was all a bit samey. My first thought with such stuff is always "how on earth can these people appear on television saying/doing that" but that's probably because I'm even older than your Mum.
The intimation seemed to be that this was in some way new. As a 14yo living in the countryside in the 60s I found my first porn book in a hedge. We used to have access to both soft and some hard porn and the effect is the same as it's been for teenagers coping with hormones through the ages. And boy, were we addicted ;-)
I don't think addiction to porn on the internet is necessarily the problem, rather addiction to the internet where everything is much more accessible than through more traditonal means - shopping, gambling, scams...
The trouble with being a teenager (and I fell foul of this) is that just when you should be preparing for the seriousness of adult life you suddenly have all these other distractions.
Well done you and your family for facing up to it.
