The bank is not going to give you some one Else's bank account number. If you are going to put money into some ones account and have their name, account number, it is called a Deposit. If you want to take the money from your own account and put it into some one Else's account, it is called a transfer.

If it is a different Bank you give your bank name. account number and Routing number

hiya all you need is there name account number and sort code and ask for the sum of money to be payed into this account.

You are describing a deposit, but the name of that sort code is a routing number (in the US anyway).

Either a transfer or a deposit which would both result in a gift if no strings are attached. If it is more than $12,000 you could owe a gift tax.

either transfer or deposit. i think sometimes they can charge for a transfer - so be wary - esp if its another bank - so if its not a huge sum that you feel uncomfortable carrying out might be best to drop the cash (deposit) into their branch. but if its same bank there should be no charge.

It's an electronic transfer. Some banks make a charge for this.
