It's about 2,300 miles from Honolulu to San Franciso, which appears to be the closest point to the islands. It's very slightly further from Hawaii to mainland Alaska.

About 3,000 miles. I live on the East Coast and it takes just as long to fly from Boston to California (3,000 miles) as it does from California to Honolulu.
