Is it that it signals the end of a working week.

But not for everyone enjoys weekends off and yet
even if we work weekends we still look forward to weekends.

Is it because more people are around and bars and clubs are lively at week ends.

Or is it simply that we enjoy work that much that we cannot wait for Monday to come round so we can start the cycle all over again

WHY

Most people don't have to work weekends and it's free time

I personally love weekends because its the end of my working week and play time! Nothing gives me greater pleasure then to leave the office on a friday night and have that sense of knowing that I dont have to return for a whole two days - a whole two days where i can do what I like and when I like!

For those who work weekends (and I have done before) I think the weekend means that people will generally be in a happier mood!!

Not being a party animal I find it much nicer that I do shift work and get time off mid week. It's much easier to do shopping and other things mid week when people are at work. The weekends are just far too busy.

I suppose it's still in most peoples mind that the weekend is time for play and weekdays are working days but not the case with a lot of jobs now. I suppose it's just hard to get out that habit.

Hi !
In the fast moving world with just 7 days a week, you work for 5 days. I work for 6 days. I don't know whether you love the weekends or not but for me it's not a weekend but just a comma(,) meant for some recreation to be again busy in the work.

As far as liking the weekends is, I can say that we love and like them because we get to spend some time for us.

For eg: I am a 9th grader and at this age a 2-4 hours for myself would be .......... you cant imagine.

So, dear friend,
We like that part of our life which we utilize for us. That is why we all tend to love weekends.

Sadly it is not true. Some people hate weekends. Because of low self-esteem it is only the business of the work that helps them forget.
Be happy that you do not suffer that way, but have a thought for those who do

I used to work in the leisure industry... working shifts, which included working weekends, and I used to dislike them then because I was busier on a weekend. I now have a job which is Mon-Fri, 9-5, and I love weekends.

it signifies a time to relax, long lie ins and late nights, food and drink that is bad for us, doing things that during the week we would not be seen doing

But because it the WEEKEND its all OK

I work every other weekend, so I can take them or leave them. Don't matter to me. About half the time I don't know what day it is anyway.
