Hi Taylornic,"APOLOGISE ??? No way -- By the time their "Religious Leaders" have started with a whole new Line of Propaganda against our country with their filthy claims of a "Police State " against our Country --- there will be a whole new String of claims that they are being "Persecuted" "Suppressed" and should have "Compensation" for "Disturbing their Community" The Usual Load of Bollocks which we are subjected to on a "Daily Basis" ????----Good Question ----Good Luck to You

This area risks making N Ireland look tame and we all know the history of that ongoing issue. Some of the problem is the nasty but true comment made by Maggie, 'there is no society' in the UK.
For the most part there used to be a 3 tier society in this country, everyone stayed in their place and a somewhat muddled sense of society or community existed. You were born so and so and died a so and so. Today this has changed as families marriage etc break down leaving very little sense of community in Cities today just isolated small groups.
British British (I mean people who have generations behind them with a British identity and culture, not those who were born here but still maintain the old country culture those are British because of passport only, the average Brit lost much of their sense of identity in the sixties.
So when they were suddenly faced with tight communities this had a dramatic and negative impact at a very deep psychological level. From the start the Carribean people who despite the shameful racism at least tried to integrate and somewhat succeeded were 'at least' nominally Christian, the Muslim groups however never really made any effort and so their integration has largely failed. This produced a polarisation immediately which has grown dramatically over the last couple of decades as the disenfranchised youth of the early immigrants emerge as supposedly British adults.
The Muslim influx appears united by their religion to many Brits who do not understand the diversity so to expect a general apology is a bit naive as many of the Muslims never made any comments to apologise for.
Some groups/individuals may apologise for statements they made when they are in error some will not just like British groups.
The issue really is polarisation from both sides which is becoming more and more intense, even if this is largely media driven there are major undercurrents that need drastic attention.
If not this will escalate and though N Ireland was over there for the most part this is right here on our front doors, the failure to address these issues might have more serious consequences than those we have already seen and they were serious enough.
It is not an apology we need here it is honesty and truth and those in our 'society' are not exactly valued commodities, too many have too many axes to grind.
The rubicon was crossed a long time ago, there will be more blood before we get back if we ever do.

I think that's the whole problem in a nutshell. Before the war on Iraq, there were numerous marches, all over the world, by non Muslims as well as Muslims, saying, !NO WAR, NOT IN MY NAME". Not once during this war on terror, despite all the evidence we've seen of radicals committing crimes, be headings, bombing innocent civilians etc, have we seen one march by Muslims saying, "NO VIOLENCE IN THE SAKE OF ISLAM, NOT IN MY NAME". All we hear is this rhetoric that Islam is a peaceful religion, and yet when it's proven that crimes and atrocities are committed they cry victimisation. I mean how many innocent Iraqi civilians are killed by militias daily when they target, schools, markets, workers etc, and yet they still blame the American and British soldiers. It seems to me that this claim that they want the whole world to be Islam is true, after all it's OK to commit atrocities as long as it's against the infidel. So, non there wont be any apology, in fact we'll see the opposite, they will still claim victimisation.

Excellent question! I'd love to know the answer to this myself, and I wish Sky News and BBC News 24 would QUIT giving so much airtime to Muslims bleating on about living in a police State that targets Muslims... IF THERE WEREN'T ANY BLOODY MUSLIM TERRORIST THEN THE POLICE WOULD LEAVE YOU ALONE!! Muslims NEVER spend as much time condemning their so-called 'Muslim brothers' who terrorise us or who support/promote terrorism. All Muslims NEED to make a common effort to either SUPPORT the UK and its Citizens against Muslim terrorists, or they need to leave our lands - their LACK of action/voice AGAINST Muslims terrorists and their supporters is a clear sign to me that MUSLIMS SUPPORT THEIR ACTIONS!

I've NEVER seen ANY Muslim apologize for any attrocities against what they deem an "infidel." They think it is their right to do what they do.
As for backlash.... Maybe the British people ought to "backlash" the Muslims and see how they do with that! The world needs to stand up to these terrorists and terrorist sympathizers. And if the Muslims want to fight, let's give them one.

Muslim fanatics like the kidnappers will doubtfully recieve any kind of punishment. The world wants us all to just ignore them & hope they all go away. The Brits bit theirselves in the butt when they chased off Blair. It's time they pulled their heads out & got with the program & kick some radical butt.
