Like if I have a link on a page to http://www.yahoo.com, and I want the browser to open the link not in the same page or a new window, but a new TAB. Is there a variation on "Target=" or something else? Please let me know if you know!

For starters, not all browsers have the tab feature. Tabs are an optional browser specific behaviour that a client configures locally in the browser's own settings and therefore not an HTML/XHTML behaviour. The tag opens a new window only. You can specify your own browser whether to treat links as a new window or a new tab but that's all. It is possible to control more client functions using java but that's a whole other can of worms.

Hi.

The code you wanna use is the following :

Yahoo!

This will open up that link in a new page!!

Should work on most browsers...

Having said this, would be very interested in knowing which browsers it won't work in!!

Cheers.

You do comprehend that the objective characteristic has been deprecated for a whilst now via the W3C. whilst it could artwork in a browser the browser manufacturers are under no legal accountability to maintain it that way and your code won't validate under the stern policies with that characteristic in it. Validation won't appear as if a huge situation to you even though it does bypass a protracted way in being seek engine friendly.

yahoo

target _blank wil open the page in another window. if you have many links, and want to open all in different windows, then you have to remove "_" from it... else it ll open it in a new window, the next link also open it in a same "new window"
