Answered this question once and have just calmed down.
Yes - I am deeply offended by this stupid man.
To walk outside and blatently put up the US flag really
got up my nose. All we heard about was how this pilot
was a hero. Well he killed a hero - he said himself it
was jail for them. Friendly fire - that sucks!!
That disgusting little man with his flag made no reference
to our own British hero Matt. So yes - I am deeply offended.
I just want to say I am glad that you have asked this question
because if you hadn,t have asked I would. But this way I can
get it off my chest!!

I'm not offended because I haven't heard it.

EDIT: Yes I am offended - although people say terrible things when they are trying to pass the buck! He is using the Bristish army as a scapegoat for their mistake. I have no bad feelings for any of these soldiers they are out their seeing devastation and all sorts that we can only imagine. But that doesn't give them the right to say what they like. That pilot was not a hero and I am sure a lot of the American people will also agree with me. The British army is there WITH the American army and they should be supporting each other and remembering why they are there in the first place.

What did he say?

----

edit - Well they would say that. Americans are reknowned for 'friendly fire' killings. They did it all through WWII and that's a fact. My father-in-law was British, and they were shot at so many times by the Americans in WWII they ended up shooting them first purely for survival.

Yes I'm offended!

My sister-in-law's grandfather was shot in the back of the head by an American in WWII and ended up being treated in a German Hospital!!

I was appalled at what this man said. I think the UK/USA relationship is strained enough, this certainly will not help.I was literally sat there watching the news opened mouthed.

Just shows you what a crap education can do for a person too !!

Why is this solider a hero for killing someone who is on his side. They make me so mad I'm speechless. Why is it so hard for them to hold they hands up admit they made a mistake and say sorry. We would respect them more for that.
