Dear friend. you are a bit confused. intercourse has two purposes sexual satisfection as well as pregnency. Though both seem interconnected but really they are seprate departments. Many fathers and mothers are not really satisfied for whole the life and many bachelor men and women are satisfied. Actually all you need for the pregnency is just sperms in your vagina irrespective of the factor of satisfection, if otherwise you are fit for pregnency. Whereas for satisfection you have a very long process consisting of foreplay, main intercourse, afterplay. You also need to get stimulation of your vital parts which vary from woman to woman and it is you who can discover and identify these points and have to share it with your partner for satisfection. As men get aroused easily and get satisfied as well just by mere discharge they need not long process. But for arousal as well as satisfection women need a long process.

Um if you are asking that in order to get pregnant, you both have to have an orgasm, then no, technically just the man. There have been some studies that seem to show that a woman is more likely to get pregnant when she has an orgasm because the contraction of the vagina can push the sperm up into the cervix. But, technically all you need is sperm to get pregnant, so the man does have to ejaculate, but the woman doesn't necessarily have to orgasm.
