Blacks tend to cry foul more than any other race in America. You seldom hear the same issues form Chinese or Europeans or even Hispanics. But if a white guy states anything even remotely derogatory towards a black, the media picks it up and beats it to death.
No other race has had it so easy in America as the Blacks. Yet, they STILL fill our prisons and have cornered the market on illiteracy. The females have the highest numbers of single mom's than any other race and yet, they still claim they are beaten back and cry "whoas me" all the time. It's absolutely shameful!!!
Bill Cosby's speech to the NAACP said it all and he said it best. Do a google search for it. He told his people what they needed to hear and they didn't like it one bit.
The handouts need to stop.

I guess it infers that other black spokes men have presented themselves poorly in public. It is expected that all Americans speak the King's English if they are educated. I'm' sorry but I cant get down with the teen lingo or Ebonics. Even though there are regional differences in language this fake language is not for me. I'm with Bill Cosby (who is a teacher) when it comes to speaking properly.
I also believe in addressing people properly President Bush earned his title and it should be used as well as Sen. Obama. No one would dare call me by my last name and get away with it.
It used to be a crime to teach a slave to read. Dictators and Despots suppress there people by deaning them an education even in this day and age.
I think President Bush has been deemed inarticulate at times and some people feel he has no place judging someone Else's speech. To many people are PC obsessed.

This reference article explains why.
Actually, it's a matter of pride, not self-pity. Many blacks, like many whites, are exceptionally well-educated and well-spoken, and Obama is just one example. However, People are often still surprised to hear a black person speak well, and the term is generally not applied to whites who have that talent.

FYI, it wasn't Bush. It was Joe Biden. Anyway, people were offended because they took his statement to mean that other black politicians, and blacks in general are not articulate.
There's no way know what he really meant, but I'm pretty he didn't mean it that way.
Here's the lowdown on what he said about Obama:

Justin:
You are absolutely right. That means John Kerry can't say anything since he got worse grades in Yale than Bush.
Bush graduated Yale with a higher GPA than John Kerry.

Last time I checked, being referred to as articulate is a compliment not an insult.

I haven't heard about it myself, but Bush needs to learn that you have to know the meaning of big words like articulate before you can use them.

There is? That's silly. I'd consider it a compliment if someone called me articulate.
