My balance can distinguish between whole number of grams but how can i measure out something like 1.75 grams

Depends what you are weighing. If you have multiples of the items you could weight several - if you weigh 4 objects of 1.75 grams each they would weigh 7 grams together.

The accuracy multiplies with the numbers. If you weigh 1 item your result is accurate to 1 gm. If you weigh 10 the accuracy is 1/10 gram, and so on.

Weight 100 identical items an divide total weight by 100. They all need to be the same weight like for instance coins.
