You're going to be waiting a while because you haven't given me your phone number yet. I know you want one of those "Long Rides" I was talking about earlier.

If it's business and you HAVE to wait a reasonable period, OK. Then contact your customer to find out whats wrong, even if you have to go see them.

If it's a relationship, wait only the necessary time (like for a date). If repeated,
write a letter, include a self addressed stamped envelope, and address the
issue. If they're avoiding you -- it's probably personality difference/type, age,
they like different things or have different background and can't relate to you,
or some other thing....but they may just need space.

TIME? 1 extra day for the return letter, then Cest la vie

Any time is too long. Get on with your life, instead of wasting it waiting for a call which may or may not ever come.

Get a telephone answering machine. But seriously, don't wait, call, and keep calling. The only way you know that you are calling too much is if they place a restraining order on you.

I would only wait a few minutes, then go about my business, I don't wait for anyone to call me. If they call and leave a message that is one thing, but I won't purposely wait for someone to call me. =)

About 1-2 hours with small breaks if you know a person will ring, although I would seriously consider if it is worth your time.
