The University of Illinois Eye Center and other sources say a baby is born with eyes that are about 75% the size they eventually will reach by adulthood. But still other sources, including Prevent Blindness America, say a baby's eye size is about two-thirds the size of an adult eye by the age of six months. Considering how tiny a baby is, this is still a very large eye size.

Not to worry, though. A baby's extraordinarily large eyes greatly contribute to the cuteness factor.

Our eye ball will grow but the pupa (the black part in the eyes) and the lens will remain the same. Our nose and ears will grow at a very very slow rate till our death. That is why the older person's nose and ears are comparatively bigger.

I don't think so. My optician told me that the reason why I ended up needing glasses when I hit secondary school was because my head had grown but not my eyes. Your eyes are supposed to grow at the same rate as your head. And no, I don't think he was trying to say I was big-headed because I have a surprisingly small head.

Like everything else in your body your eyes grow with them. If they were to never grow, your skull would continue developing and your eyes would most likely fall out.

Don't think that can be true, as my son started wearing glasses as a 4yr old, now he's 8, & now doesn't need them.
I asked the optician why? & she says that his eyes have grown, so the muscles around them work better!!

They do grow very slightly in your early childhood. They are usually fully grown by age 2. When you are born they are almost their adult size.

Yes. That's why women with large eyes are appealing and why women try to make their eyes look bigger. It brings us back to infancy when we looked so adorable with big eyes.
