A peg in the ground is a baby - can't move.
a grasshopper is when he learns to walk and jump.
a snake in a basket is when he gets tired after all that running and jumping.
a rope is the snake without energy.

The peg is the root from which he came,
The grasshopper is when is is mobile, traveling & exploring,
A snake is when he is lying in wait to seize an opportunity at something,
A rope is to secure all he has.

Ouch!! Let me try... No clue about peg in ground... a grass hopper is the time when we play...a snake in the basket is resting peacefully... and a rope is...death?
