Heart - it's listening to your instincts/gut-level intuition.

But that doesn't mean shirk responsibilities - to your brain or to others. Find a way to follow instincts but not be 'fool-hardy' about missing steps which help your brain feel secure in the logic.

That is, follow the heart but APPLY decision making as if it were a decision your brain condones.

Example: Your heart says it's time to move out of your parents' house, but your brain says there's less pressure if you don't. Well, follow your heart and seek the freedom/adventure, but don't jump into it without preparation/a plan.

By the way, I think a fair number of statistics back up choosing the 'heart'/'intuition' option --- studies show people tend to be mroe satisfied with decisions tey have made that way, in the long-term (perhaps a matter of avoiding regrets of the path not taken). And, studies of many successul people (check a Napoleon Hill book) advocate making decisions fast (eg, listening to intuition) and only slowly changing one's mind/route if one later decides to at all (I think it means we are more satified when we commit to something and find reasons to be happy about it/become advocates of our own routes).

Best wishes!

My brain. My heart is easily mislead in the heat of the moment. The two usually come to a consensus down the road, though.

Well, I usually listen to my brain....but since it's been getting me nowhere I think I'll start listening to my heart and see how that works for me.

Generally, both should work together as depending on the situation, neither one can provide reliable information. But together, they are a force to be reckoned with.

I would say that on occasion, I've gone with my heart and other times gone with my brain. One being more logical and one being more emotional.
