I'm trying to think of a word that means monkey-like and ends in 'ine' like feline means cat-like. I know the word Simeon means monkey like but am looking specifically for a word ending in 'ine'.

This is for my husband who rang me from work and obviously isn't being worked hard enough.

Try Pithecine

Pithecines are a group of New World Monkeys composed of three genera (Pithecia, Chiropotes and Cacajao) that are widely distributed and diversified throughout the Amazon basin. Most Pithecine taxa are endangered, specially the species in the genus Cacajao, the only primate that is restricted to varzea (seasonally-flooded) forests.

If it's a crossword puzzle that's being worked on - I think he has an incorrect answer somewhere! Simian should fit.
