I'm form Turkey and I think that our music,foods,drinks... are same. My grand mum's family come 150 years ago form Selanik. I wonder that who says we are still enemies. Goverment or people?

I think they are teaching us (at school, in the army, at church etc) to be enemies!


PS If your family comes from Selanik read Marks Mazower's book on Salonica

In case you missed it this is indeed 2007, the 21st century and any animosities real or perceived should be set aside and become good neighbours for a change. Both countries would benefit immensely. But governments sometimes interfere instead of helping.

im from Turkiye, too but im the enemy of people who are looking for trouble against peace who is turkish or greek!

someone wrote that Turks look for an occasion for a claim on Aegean waters, i supposed that greeks were claiming on that. are these all a misunderstand? i think so...

The Turks had a dreadful history in Greece where they treated people very badly. This is now over and people are ready to try again. Your attitude towards Cyprus remains a problem as does your occasion claim on Aegean waters.
