Just be flat out blunt... i personally hate subtlety...it just wastes time and i don't always pick up on things. Just tell them that you have feelings for them. Best of luck

I was in exactly the same situation and I came out and told this guy that I liked him more than just a friend. Guess what - now we're engaged to be married!

Wait for the perfect time. If you'll blurt it out suddenly, you're in danger of losing her and your friendship. Be sure of your feelings first, and if you're really convince that he/she's the one, wait for the perfect time.
