Like, "She's All That" just get rid of the glasses and cut her hair and she's in the running for prom queen.
A lot of those movies are reflective of what I consider the 'high school mentality', where your place on the social ladder is dependent on looks, clothes and very often finances. Unfortunately, some people don't seem to mature past high school, and so they plague society with their shallow perceptions of ideal beauty.

Look its only this way because women are alot more accepting of imperfections in men. Thats not to say that men do not accept imperfections in women, because alot do, but nobody can deny that its always the fat guy talking the biggest crap about the fat woman in the room, when they are basically two peas in a pod. All women have to do is raise the bar, and not have sex with these types of men. That way they dont go around with the mistaken impression that they are Gods gift to women. This same rule applies to men in regards to snobby women.

It has to do with the innate differences between the *masculine* and the *feminine|*
With a good man, who is decently dressed, that is all he needs| He need only present *himself|*
But with women, the situation is somewhat different| There is a certain adornment that women must put on to be *properly attractive* (I am not saying over-doing it or anything, but a certain amount of adornment is in order)|
For example, with women, a certain amount of makeup is needed (although many women go completely overboard)|
Earrings are also suitable, as the right earring completes a woman's beauty|
But if a man were to try makeup or earrings (even the single earring, which is ridiculous because it is one-sided) that would indicate *effeminacy* in the man||||||||
So given this adornment factor that is proper to a woman and not a man, a reasonable makeover could be in order for the woman to make her *fully* and *completely* attractive|

I hate bad movies. Would rather scrub a toilet bowl then watch the sort of stuff you just described.

Yes I think this reflects reality in today's society. I read somewhere that a man likes a woman for what she looks like, while a woman likes a man for what he is.

No. In reality they must like what we tell them to like. If I want to go out and instead of losing some weight, just gain oodles of fake confidence, act like I'm god's gift to men and disregard his needs in favour of my own and do this better than the other women he knows.. then he should like me.
So that's what I do. When I get my crane to lift me to a date's house and bellow I'M LARGE AND IN CHARGE, he better come running with those flowers.
If not well then, let's become feminists and FORCE THEM TO LIKE IT.
Woohoo grrlpower forever!!

society expects women to reach an ideal of beauty. nothing like that is expected of men. watch "the truth about cats and dogs" with uma thurman and jeaneane garafalo. tho to be honest i think jeaneane is way hotter that uma tho she plays the "ugly" one.
