I really enjoy all types of movies. But, I go to the movie theater to watch the movies with great special effects and gore. I think a horror movie is so much scarier when you have 15 other people jumping out of their seat around you. The surround sound sure helps too. Most other movies seem to be just as effective to watch from the comforts of home i.e. love stories, suspense dramas, thrillers and comedies.

Science Fiction and Fantasy.
They just work so well on the silver screen.
Example:
Star Wars (the original) was amazing in the theater, on TV it is just good.

I like Science Fiction that forces me to the edge of my seat or plasters me to the back of the seat, and I like those lighthearted ones that leaves me walking out smiling and laughing and holding hands with my date.
