A skater girl/boy (commonly pronounced sk8er) is someone who skates, either on a skateboard, or surfboard. The term can be used other then people who just "Skate". The term can also be used as someone who is popular, someone who is "cool", or someone who is "hip" or up to date with todays cultures.

In relation to girls ... bit tomboyish as in does not cry if scuffs knee. Competes with the boys...
Also
Into other extreem sports like surfing usually.
Most likley fiesty but chilled out... Not into aggressive bitchy bullying.
Often funky hair, bit rebellious
More likly to prefer rock music.
Not into expensive showey jewels (ie bling) more likely decent sports equipiment.

i have one of these, shes upstairs listening to metal grunge... she sleeps until noon, stays up till 3am... wears the widest "flares" and looks incredibly scruffy all teh time.
when she does surface her first words are usually.. ugh. she shouts at her sister, and goes ballistic if she as much as looks at her guitars.... (sis plays keyboards/piano)
kids huh.. cant live with em, cant get em on stage earning fast enough...
