i want to do this to improve the sound quality of my songs etc. and i do know that doing this will use up more space per track on my ipod but i have plenty of capacity .

If you download at 128kbps, then there's not point making the file sizes bigger as you will not get better quality. If you are ripping from CD, you just need to change the ripping options to something like 192kbps. Then, just upload to your iPod as normal.

This would be kind of useless since you probably download your music at 128kbps. Uploading them to your iPod wouldn't really increase the quality of songs.

u can use mediaplayer10 or mediaplayer11 or use musicmatch and change settings to above 128 in settings. u can get an older version of musicmatch 4 free on limewire or other download programs to convert ur wave files to mpeg3 files 4 ur ipod
